| RKF engineered, on a continuing contract basis 10 PanAmSat satellites operating in the C band and Ku bands. Those efforts included: acquiring orbital slots by means of regulatory processes, strategic planning and determination of technical requirements, formulating satellite design concepts and criteria, actual design of the satellites, monitoring the build, launch, IOT and coordination with over fifty foreign satellite systems around the world. In the process, RKF pioneered the use of shaped reflectors and spot beam for PanAmSat satellites. RKF’s responsibilities encompassed system engineering designs, regulatory support, and evaluation of emerging technologies in support of PanAmSat operations. |
