Technical Due Diligence: Performing Due Diligences are an important part of RKF’s activities. The firm has performed these services for Hedge Funds, satellite operators, satellite manufacturers, major entertainment companies and a variety of private entities. The due diligence services covered companies in the US, the Far East, Middle East and Europe. RKF excels in analysis of new technical equipment, major satellite operator capabilities and their satellites, teleports and regulatory issues. Our analyses are based on technical, regulatory, and business issues where we have experience in all three areas. Standards Bodies Work: RKF provides contributions and services in relation to standards bodies work and has represented clients and made contributions in a variety of standards groups including TIA, IEEE, ETSI and 3GPP.  RKF supported clients and had voting rights in 802.16 (WiMax) for several years.

Expert Witness: RKF provides expert witness services, particularly in the areas of satellite and terrestrial communications patent law. RKF has worked on several court trials, including the well known Northpoint trial where the result included overturning the company’s major satellite patents. Other cases where RKF has provided expert witness services include cable television expansion activities, a case involving Weather Channel issues and another regarding cable monopoly issues.
